This beautiful antique tramp art frame dates to the 1920s and was hand carved from layered cigar box wood, complete with wonderful chip carved detail and sweet painted green leaves throughout. The movement and texture in this one is just so good, especially for its petite size.
I also loved reading all of your creative ideas that came through my DMs. Everything from a child’s silhouette, a tiny family photo, a light switch cover moment, or even stacking it inside another tramp art frame on a gallery wall. You all are endlessly inspiring.
There is some age related wear and small losses, which I have photographed and shown. Nothing unexpected for folk art of this era, and it still presents beautifully.
