Vintage 1968 Terracotta Studio Wall Sculpture “AEGEA” by F. Appel

A wonderfully expressive mid-century terracotta wall sculpture from 1968, titled “AEGEA” and created by artist F. Appel.

This sculpted face has a beautiful handmade quality. The textured terracotta surface and slightly asymmetrical features give it that soulful studio art feel that was so popular during the 1960s craft movement.
