The third of my little James R. Pascucci collection might just be my favorite. ❤️
There is something so wonderfully loose and almost modern about this one. An overflowing arrangement of flowers, two little vessels, that bold RED cloth in the foreground, and a glimpse through the window behind it all. The colors are unexpected and SO good!!
Pascucci (1928–2015) was a Connecticut artist with especially wonderful ties to our area. He lived in Weston and Wilton, was active with the Ridgefield Arts Guild. His paintings were inspired by natural light and color and ranged from flowers and gardens to barns, beaches and harbor scenes.
Original painting on canvas, signed lower right. Unframed, which I actually LOVE with this piece. It gives the colorful, expressive painting such a cool, modern feel.
