I recently acquired three original paintings by Connecticut artist James R. Pascucci (1928–2015), and this coastline was the first to steal my heart.
That lone little gull standing in the foreground. 🥹 It feels so New England to me.
Pascucci was a longtime Fairfield County artist who lived in Weston and Wilton, studied art in New Haven, was active with the Ridgefield Arts Guild. His work was heavily inspired by the landscape around him, including the beaches, harbors and coastline of New England.
As someone who loves finding pieces with a connection to this little corner of Connecticut, this one feels extra special. 🐦
